Aims:
- To provide an overview of types of academic publication and explore the potential of digital
technologies for detecting plagiarism, as well as for teaching, organizing, and monitoring PhD tasks; - Acquire a thorough understanding of the applications and best practices for utilizing AI, particularly
ChatGPT, in teaching and research; - Overview of the importance of virtual communication in PhD supervision.
Results/Learning Outcome:
By the end of the tutorial, participants will understand various academic publication types and
plagiarism detection methods. They will be equipped to:
- Utilize software for detecting and managing plagiarism in Final Degree Projects, Master’s Projects,
and Doctoral Theses; - Employ ChatGPT for teaching and research activities;
- Equip PhD supervisors with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use Zoom, Google
Meet, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint recording in their supervisory roles.
