Skills for PhD Supervisors

Aim:

To introduce the importance of soft skills in the supervision role and the different grids to
evaluating a PhD thesis through ‘case studies’.

Results/Learning Outcome:
By the end of the tutorial, participants will understand the importance of soft skills during the
supervision process, the value of microcredentials for certifying specific skills, and the various types
of evaluation grids, all through the discussion of case studies.
